Jalapeno Beer Bread with cheddar cheese has a thick, crisp and buttery crust and a tender, moist inside. This bread is quick, easy, and delicious.
How To Serve
A little sweet and a lot spicy, it pairs well with a bowl of chili or Brunswick Stew. If you have any leftover, it tastes good toasted for breakfast. There’s never a crumb of this bread that goes to waste.
Jalapeno Beer Bread Recipe
Beer bread is hands down the easiet bread to make. But just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it is lacking in flavor. Melted butter is poured into the bread pan before the batter is added. Then more melted butter is added to the top. The butter makes the outside bake up incredibly crispy and flavorful.
This is the perfect bread for people who don’t fancy themselves bakers. Simple ingredients, Simple technique. It really can’t be messed up. If you don’t want any heat, just leave out the cayenne pepper and jalapenos. It will still be delicious.
Recipe Tip
Different beers can really change the flavor. I’d start with a light beer the first time and then maybe try a dark, craft beer to see which you like better.

Jalapeno Beer Bread tastes great with White Chicken Chili
It tasted a little weird to me. But I will say the leftover bread the next few days in the Toaster oven (a little crumbly) with some butter or sliced provolone was really good
I almost never leave reviews but this recipe is so exceptionally delicious AND easy, I had to stop in and say thank you! I make this any time I make chilli and it’s the perfect accompaniment!
Such a sweet comment Lorrie! Glad you enjoy the bread! ๐
I realize I don’t have a recipe for beer bread with or without Jalapenos. It would make a cool addition to a buffet table for the mere color of it. Makes feel cheerful to look at it! It’s shouting, Eat me, Carol and don’t forget the butter either!
Made tonight to go with tomato soup– YUM, was it ever good!
I have one can of Jalapeno IPA left in the fridge from NYE & now I know what I’m gonna do with it! Thx!
Oh wow! I didn’t even think to use a jalapeno-flavored beer! There’s a micro-brewery in Charlotte that makes a Jalapeno Pale Ale that I love. I should try it with that. Hope you love the bread!
Never made a savoury bread like this before. Definitely something I need to try out in my kitchen!
