Sticky Soy Chicken Wings

Sticky Soy Chicken Wings are marinated in a soy sauce/brown sugar mixture and then baked for an hour. The marinade caramelizes in the oven and turns wonderfully sticky.

These Sticky Soy Chicken Wings have a little heat and a little sweetness and so much flavor. Perfect for gameday or as a party apppetizer. Serve them on their own or with Ranch dressing or Blue Cheese dressing for dipping. They have a little Asian flavor to them and are finger-licking good.

The simple 6-ingredient marinade really packs the flavor. There’s soy sauce, brown sugar, vegetable oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, and cayenne pepper.

Sticky Soy Chicken Wings

You’ll want to marinate the wings for 2 to 24 hours. The longer you marinate them, the more flavor they will soak up. The marinade has a little sweetness with 1/3 a cup of brown sugar. If you want them to be sweeter, add 1/2 a cup of brown sugar.

I typically like my wings really crispy, but I have to say these sticky wings are addicting. Be sure to serve them with plenty of napkins. These wings make a mess.

Baking wings in the oven is so easy and so delicious. You do want to make sure you cover your baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean-up. The glaze will get really burnt onto your baking sheet if you don’t and you will be scrubbing all night.

Incredible recipe. Didn’t change a thing! The only thing I had to do was flip them halfway through cooking time! It’s likely due to my hatred for electric stoves… but I am sure if cooked in a gas stove they would be fine! Awesome recipe thanks so much for sharing 👍

    1. I’ve made these a few times already that’s how much we love this recipe. I put mine on a rack that fits in the foil wrapped pan. Of course the rack is sprayed with Pam!! I do use tongs to lift each one so they don’t stick. The whole wing is sticky and crisp.

  2. This recipe is a real keeper! I don’t do spicy, but the cayenne was the perfect amount! Just delicious! Thanks!

  3. Really liked these wings although I had to improvise with some ingredients that I didn’t have. I didn’t add the cayenne pepper cause we don’t do heat at our house. I did add about 4 oz. of beer to the marinade to give a little ummph!

  4. Making these for the first time and couldn’t wait to taste so I stuck one in the microwave and OMG I can’t wait til dinner, These are so good…Thanks, for these always looking for great recipes and this is certainly one…And haven’t even baked them off yet…But even Microwaving gives it 5 stars in my book.

I’ve made this SO many times to rave reviews..Only substitution is sliced fresh jalapeños instead of cayenne for the heat..
I serve it with raw veggies and Ranch/ bleu cheese dressing.
easy clean up, easy prep ..
    love this..thank you!
I posted pics on a local cooking site, and of course I mentioned my recipe source.. yours..😊

  6. I’ve made these wings a few times and they are so good. My family loves them. I make 7lbs of wings and none are left. Delicious!!! I highly recommend.

Made a triple recipe, everyone loved the wings! Making it again tomorrow with double the cayenne pepper and added fresh minced garlic to the marinade.

  8. Huge hit with adults and children alike. I marinated for 24 hrs. So pleased with the outcome. Thank you for sharing.

  9. Best chicken wing recipe I have tried. The key is allowing marinating as long as you can. Putting another batch in the oven right now
