I love honey bun cakes. Been making this for several year now. Have several friends who request it when we have big dinner get togethers. The recipe I use is the same as this one, but the only thing I do different is I add 1/4 to 1/2 cup honey to the batter. This cake has become a family favorite.

This is AMAZING!! 👍 My family loved this & it was so easy to make. I didn’t change anything, I made it exactly the same way the recipe is written. If you haven’t made this before, then you need to try it. We have 5 grown boys & they all have families of their own. I have already received a request from our wonderful Grandson. He thinks that this should be made for our Christmas morning brunch. I suppose I can’t let him down, right? When everyone was finished eating they all agree that they want this dessert to become part of our Christmas tradition! Thanks! 🌻

This was a quick and easy recipe. Very moist & tasty. At first I thought the amount of icing was going to be too much. But after it soaked in the cake, it was the perfect amount. The only thing I did differently was I added a half cup of toasted chopped pecans to the cinnamon & sugar mixture, Which in my opinion elevated the taste of the cake. The next time I make this I will also add a touch more cinnamon. The recipes amount was good, but I just like a bit more. Thanks for sharing your recipe! 😊

Whoops, next time I won’t immediately jump to the comments and then to the recipe. Just read all and see it says to use a spoon….smile.

  7. Ellie says:

Do you use an electric mixer or just a wooden spoon? Wanting to try it! Thanks 😊

  10. Tracy Land says:

I’m wondering if the oven temp is supposed to be 350? This has already baked an extra 20 minutes and it’s not done.

    1. Dixie says:

I make this cake all the time and I go by the tooth pick not the length of time, but it’s definitely 325°
