Pecan Pie Bark is a wonderful holiday sweet treat that combines the flavors of pecan pie with toffee graham cracker candy.

Pecan Pie Bark in a serving dish.

A pecan pie mixture is baked on top of a single layer of graham crackers and the pecan mixture gets wonderfully caramelized. This candy is fabulously sweet and has such a wonderful crust. I love this version every bit as much as Bourbon Graham Cracker Candy and Fireball Graham Cracker Candy.

Quick and Easy Holiday Recipe

This quick and easy holiday recipe can be made in just about 20 minutes! It takes about 10 minutes to assemble and then it needs to bake for 10 minutes.

Finished Bark on baking sheet before being broken into pieces.

Ingredients Needed For Pecan Pie Bark

  • 15 Graham Crackers– I use plain but you can use Cinnamon Graham Crackers if you want more cinnamon flavor.
  • 2 cups Pecan Halves
  • 1 cup Salted Butter– unsalted butter is fine, but you may want to add an extra pinch of salt.
  • 1 cup packed Light Brown Sugar– you can use dark brown sugar instead.
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
Pieces of Pecan Bark in serving dish and ornaments in background.

How To Make Pecan Pie Bark

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Graham Cracker Layer. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer in the prepared baking sheet. You may need to break a few of them to get them to fit. A few gaps are ok, but you want the bottom mostly covered.
  3. Add pecans. Sprinkle them evenly over the graham crackers.
  4. Make the brown sugar mixture. Combine butter, brown sugar, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Stir to make sure sugar is melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour over Graham Crackers. Pour the brown sugar mixture over the pecans and graham crackers as evenly as you can.
  6. Bake. Bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Cool. Let cool completely and then break into pieces.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 week.

Variations

  • Use Saltine Crackers, Ritz Crackers or Club Crackers for a saltier crust.
  • You can chop the pecans if you prefer them in smaller pieces.
  • Try adding half a cup of mini chocolate chips. Sprinkle them over the top just after removing from the oven.

This crunchy sweet treat is perfect for Holiday gatherings, dessert boards, or Holiday gift giving.
