How To Make

(Detailed instructions below.)

To make Stuffing Topped Pork Chops, you’ll prepare a box of Stove-Top Stuffing. Alternatley, you could use about 4 to 5 cups of prepared homemade stuffing.

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and then brown them in some oil. Next, place them in a baking dish and spoon the stuffing on top. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir together the condensed soup, 1/4 cup of milk, and 2 teaspoons of soy sauce. Spoon on top. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes.

Tips for making Stuffing Topped Pork Chops:

  • I only use 3 pork chops (large, thick ones) because I like alot of Stuffing in relation to the pork chops, but you can use 4 pork chops for this recipe, especially if they are on the smaller side.
  • You can use either bone-in or boneless pork chops. I tend to prefer bone-in pork chops. The bone helps prevent the meat form drying out and adds flavor.
  • I love using condensed cream of chicken soup, but you can use condensed cream of mushroom or celery soup instead.
  • Using 1/2 a cup of cheese adds just a little cheese flavor. For more cheese flavor, add a full cup.
  • Mozzarella cheese or even swiss cheese can be used instead of cheddar.

I didn’t add the soy sauce and followed the recipe otherwise. It was tender, juicy and delicious. Quick and easy.

How long should I bake for thin chops? It was all that was available

  3. Peggy says:

Excellent! Left the cheese off. Used 4 VERY LARGE bone-in chops. Still plenty of stuffing and soup mix. Could have baked a few minutes longer accommodating the large chops.

It was good. I only had 2 bone in thick cut chops. If I had more chops would have been really good. I kind of figured out to those 2. I will make again with the 3-4 chops.
