Sweet and Tangy Sloppy Joe Mixture
These hot dogs are like chili dogs with a sweet and tangy chili. Browned ground beef, onion, and green pepper are cooked with tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and chili powder. Combined with hot dogs it’s a match made in heaven.

Cook the hot dogs in the microwave, oven, gill or in a pot. However you like to cook them.
Make It Spicy
This sloppy joe mixture is sweet and tangy. If you want to make it spicy, add 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes.
Add Some Toppings
You can eat these hot dogs just topped with the sloppy joe mixture or you can serve them fully loaded with shredded cheddar cheese, finely diced onion, ketchup and mustard. Or kick them up with some pickled jalapeno slices.

Recipe Tip
If you like chili or spaghetti sauce with the meat really finely broken up, you need one of these meat chopper gadgets. They are inexpensive and so handy in the kitchen.
Make Ahead
The sloppy joe mixture can be made a day in advance and reheated. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 days.
