Salted Caramel Latte is an indulgent drink for those days when you need a little extra comfort or feel like being pampered. It’s sweet with a little saltiness, plus I added some cocoa powder for just a hint of chocolate flavor.
A fancy coffee shop specialty drink can easily be made at home and save you lots of money. Typically I’m a plain coffee type with just a little sweetener and creamer added.
But… this past September my husband and I went on our first cruise- a Princess Cruises Cruise off the coast of California. It must have been a month for firsts because I had my first Salted Caramel Latte on the cruise.
And then my second.
And my third.
And fourth.
One for each day of the cruise.
There was a wonderful coffee shop on the Ruby Princess called the International Cafe and boy were their Salted Caramel Lattes ever good! We got one each day late in the afternoon. I don’t usually drink caffeine late in the afternoon, but hey we were on a cruise ship.
With our Salted Caramel Lattes in hand we’d head out to the Promenade Deck, take a seat, and watch the sun set over the water.
That’s my idea of heaven y’all!
I can’t quite recreate that experience at home, but I can recreate a Salted Caramel Latte. ๐

Oh my GOSH. Salted caramel lattes are seriously my favorite thing to order at the coffee shop and now you’re telling me I can have it at home?? This is why we’re friends, Christin. ๐ I seriously can hardly stand how amazing these look!
Salted caramel lattes are one of my favorites! I love that you can make it at home for a fraction of the price and calories that you would find in a coffee shop. This looks just perfect for a Monday, Christin!
Will you be bringing me one of these this weekend? Mmmmkay, thanks. ๐ Looks amazing!!
Can you believe it’s this weekend! Can’t wait to see you!
I feel like being pampered everyday, haha! And this drink looks like the perfect way to do that! I just want to eat the whipped cream and caramel right off the top ๐
The cruise sounds amazing. We are thinking about doing one soon; my son really wants to! : ) I am a little afraid to put on 10 lbs. with all the amazing food but it’s a ‘sacrifice’ I just might need to make. I love how you re-created the salted caramel latte. It looks insane. I could really relax with a mug of that in the winter…
There is a lot of amazing food, but you also get lots of exercise walking around the ship, especially if you always take the stairs! ๐
At this moment, I am sipping on a caramel latte in a coffee shop, and I wish I saw this first. Need to try this soon!
Looks like an AMAZING cruise – I love cruises!! All the wonderful sights and of course tastes, and I bet your variation on this latte tastes even better!
