How To Serve

This dish is wonderfully indulgent and you will want to do your best to keep portion sizes small. Best served with something light like Lemon Butter Broccoli or a garden salad with Creamy Italian Dressing. Pepperoncini Garlic Bread is great if feeding a crowd.

How To Make Crack Chicken Spaghetti

(More detailed instructions in recipe card below.)

  1. Cook the pasta. Only cook to al dente. It will cook more in the oven.
  2. Mix the sauce ingredients.
  3. Stir in bacon, chicken, and cheese.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until hot throughout.

Prep In Advance

This is a great casserole to prepare ahead for a weeknight dinner. Assemble it and refrigerate for up to 48 hours before baking. It can also be frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight and then bake.

Salt Level

This is a salty casserole. The cream cheese, condensed soup, ranch seasoning, and bacon all add sodium. If you don’t like salty foods or need to watch your sodium intake, look for reduced-sodium Ranch seasoning.

Make It Spicy

If you want to spice this chicken casserole up, add 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes or a diced jalapeno.

Kitch Tools I Use

  • Pasta Pot- I love this Pasta Pot with a lift out strainer. I once badly burned my arm spilling boiling water on it when carrying a pot of pasta to the sink to drain, so I love the safety of using a lift out strainer.
  • 9×13-inch baking dish
  • Cheese Grater- I use a box grater to shred my own cheese. It tastes much fresher than buying pre-shredded.

I use pre-shredded mozzarella cheese, but like to shred my own cheddar cheese for this recipe.
