Best Way to Cook Corn on the Cob

Last year when I posted about how much I like roasting corn, I had several people tell me that the most delicious way to cook corn is to boil it with a cup of milk and a stick butter. I finally got around to trying it and I agree – this is the most delicious way to cook corn.

If you haven’t tried cooking corn this way, you must.

This is the most delicious way to cook corn on the cob - in boiling water with a cup of milk and a stick of butter. So good!

The corn cooks up so flavorful, fresh tasting and rich. You’ll be so obsessed with it you won’t even care what else is being served.

No need to slather butter all over the corn. This corn already has a buttery taste.

Just a little salt and pepper and this corn on the cob is ready to go.

And actually, if you use a stick of salted butter, you might find you don’t even need to add any salt.

Some people add sugar too, but I find the corn available around here during the summer is already sweet enough.

If you suspect your corn is a little lacking in flavor, you might want to add some sugar to perk it up.

I may have to try to make it this way.
I love to shuck corn & get all the strings off. I wash the corn in cold water. Wrap each in paper towels and cook in microwave using fresh vegetable setting.
Perfect tender juicy corn on the cob.
    I do add butter,salt & Pepper. Yummy ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Due to lactose intolerance, we have a low lactose sugar version of milk. I only used half milk, half water and added a keto friendly sugar substitute. We have a diabetic grandchild. It worked out wonderfully, we will definitely make it again this way.

  3. OMG! I tried this recipe last year and now it’s the only way that I make Corn on the Cobb!!! Simply delicious!

You gotta try corn on the cob Indian style. It’s so good and flavourful. Handsdown the best way to eat corn on the cob.

  5. I tried this for the first time and I love how the corn it moist juicy and flavorful. I did also put in boiler for 2 minutes each side for that roast and color effect. I served with pulled pork and coleslaw. It was a hit!!!

  6. Has anyone tried this with frozen corn? I’ve only made it with fresh corn but I was wondering about the use of frozen corn. What changes would there be to the directions?

I made this corn on the cob recipe for Christmas dinner as one of my three new recipes for the holiday meal. It was easy and very delicious. I gave my 6 yo grandson, who is a very picky eater, half an ear to try & he ate it up & asked for more. He then told me that it was the best corn ever & asked if he could have just the corn for Christmas dinner. This is the only way he will eat corn now.
