BBQ Ranch Pasta Salad is sure to become a picnic favorite this spring and summer. It’s creamy and full of smoky flavor from Hidden Valley® Ranch Honey BBQ Dressing, one of 4 new Hidden Valley® Dressings available now at Walmart.
It also has sour cream, black beans, corn, red bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, diced chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, and the wonderful crunch of corn chips.
Pasta Salad is always a family favorite. It’s one of my favorite sides during the warm weather months. And I love it so much I often add a protein to it so it can be eaten as a full meal.
You can toss the ingredients for this BBQ Ranch Pasta Salad together in no time and have a huge bowl of delicious pasta salad that can feed the whole neighborhood.
Hidden Valley® Original Ranch has been a favorite of mine both as a salad dressing and a recipe ingredient. And now it is available in 4 new flavors at Walmart: Hidden Valley® Ranch Buffalo, Hidden Valley® Ranch Honey BBQ, Hidden Valley® Ranch Sriracha, and Hidden Valley® Ranch Cilantro Lime.
Hidden Valley® Ranch BBQ Honey is like a blend of Ranch dressing and BBQ sauce and since we are obsessed with BBQ sauce in my family we are loving this new dressing. It is fabulously sweet and tangy with lots of smoky flavor and it would be incredible on a chicken wrap or southwestern salad.
Next time you are in Walmart, throw a few of these new dressings in your shopping cart and you’ll be able to throw together countless quick and easy meals. I can’t wait to use the Buffalo flavor to make a Buffalo Chicken Ranch Pizza. 🙂

I made this and it was a big hit with my husband! Couldn’t find the dressing so just made some ranch dressing with a tub of sour cream and a packet of hidden valley ranch seasoning, and mixed in some of my husbands favorite bbq sauce. Turned out AWESOME! Only think I wasn’t crazy about was the corn chips. I LOVE corn chips and thought that extra little flavor and crunch would be great, but honestly they overpowered the flavor of this salad (I never realized just how much flavor there is in Fritos — seriously, it was like all you could taste). It is much better just by itself, in my opinion. Without them, you could REALLY taste the ranch, bbq and cilantro. LOVE this recipe though and will DEFINITELY make it again!
Looks really delicious plus it looks really easy and quick to make. This is going to be perfect for summer. Thank you for sharing this recipe 🙂
Do you think canned chicken would be okay to use?
Have made this a few times. It is very filling and serves my husband and myself as a main course for two or three days. Good way to clean out fridge and freezer as well. Will continue to make. Now I just need dinner guests again!
If you google Hidden Valley Honey BBQ sauce , the Hidden Valley website has the recipe for the BBQ sauce! I have made it a couple of times and it’s a huge hit with my family!! Yummy!!
Hidden Valley no longer makes BBQ Ranch Dressing so I mixed Hidden Valley Ranch Buttermilk Salad Dressing with my favorite bottled Honey BBQ sauce and it was great! Also, instead of regular corn chips I used Chili Cheese Corn Chips.
Yum! I wish they hadn’t stopped making that dressing, but you found a great solution.
Really really good!!!!!
Loved this! Next time I will add the entire onion and red bell pepper. Also, I will get the chili cheese Fritos instead of plain. Yum 😋
This looks amazing! I’m sure everyone would love it at my beat friends wedding coming up that we’re cooking for! Can’t wait to try it out and show the bride❤️
My family absolutely loves this salad. I’m making it for the 3rd in 2 weeks. Thanks for the recipe
Did you try make this in advance? I would love to take to eat throughout the weekend at our lake place
How long does this keep in the fridge? I want to be able to eat it throughout the week.
I thought this dish looked really weird and was hesitant about trying it – But I’m sure glad I did – delicious!! Everyone really like it! I would definitely make it again!
Can you make the day before. How does it like up as leftovers ?
I made this last year for a Memorial day weekend block party. First of all my teenage son is not big on any kind of salad, nor dressings. He loved it when he tried it. Asked if we brought any home. Recently he asked me if I was going to “make that salad” again. I’m making it again this year for our block party.
So happy your son enjoyed it Patricia! 🙂
After reading this comment I made it for my teenage boys and they raved about it. Even my husband loves it!
Can anyone tell me how many this will serve as a side dish?
Can’t find the Hidden Valley Ranch Honey BBQ sauce in Harris Teeter, Publix nor Walmart grocery here in the Triangle area of NC.
Try mixing some bottles honey BBQ sauce into some Ranch dressing until you get the flavor you want.
I did that and it came out great. I actually forgot to get cilantro and realized I had cilantro lime ranch dressing so I mixed it with some honey bbq sauce. Delicious! Thanks for the recipe.
Nice
I’m wondering how this would be without the chicken. Has anyone left it out? If so, how was it?
You can leave the chicken out.
I was looking for a last minute side dish to take to a BBQ and came across this. I am so glad I decided to give this a try. It was amazing and everyone devoured it!!
So happy everyone enjoyed it!
I have three kids between 9-13. My youngest is extremely picky. She ate this and asked for more! I was impressed since she doesn’t like peppers nor beans! This has become one of my family’s favorites. the only thing I do differently is I use a 1 1/2 tsp of onion powder instead of onion, since I don’t like raw onion.
