Quick and Easy Recipe

This recipe is so easy and so quick. Only 6 ingredients and about 10 minutes of prep time needed.

Ingredients Needed For Baked BBQ Sausage

  • 2 pounds kielbasa sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
Uncooked sausage slices in baking dish.

How To Make

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Place sausage slices in baking dish.
  3. Stir together remaining ingredients and pour over sausage.
  4. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.

After baking the edges of the sausage will get wonderfully browned and crispy as the sugar in the bbq sauce caramelizes.

Type of Sausage To Use

You want to use fully cooked smoked sausage for this recipe. I like to use kielbasa, either pork or beef.

Which BBQ Sauce To Use

You can use whichever sauce is your favorite. I typically use Sweet Baby Ray’s. It is both sweet and thick.

How To Serve

Serve as an appetizer with toothpicks or as a main dish with mac and cheese or white rice.

How To Store

Leftovers will keep for 4 days in an airtight container and can be reheated in a microwave.
