Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies- only 4 ingredients needed to make this easy appetizer. Little smokies are wrapped in bacon coated with brown sugar and cayenne pepper for a sweet, salty, and spicy party food.
These little pieces of pork heaven are perfect for so many occasions: Christmas parties, tailgating, cookouts, potlucks, you name it! They taste like meat candy and will disappear in a hurry.
Only 4 Ingredients
- Brown Sugar
- Cayenne Pepper- double the amount if you want them spicier.
- Bacon- NOT thick-cut
- Little Smokies
Tips For Making Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies
- For extra sweetness, sprinkle on a little extra brown sugar before baking.
- Use thin-cut bacon, not thick-cut.
- If bacon is not getting crispy, broil it for a few minutes at the end.
- Use any flavor of bacon you like, but I think maple-flavored is the best for this recipe.
- Be sure to line your baking sheet with either aluminum foil or parchment paper. Or better yet, use disposable foil sheet pans. The brown sugar and bacon grease will make a really sticky mess that is hard to clean up.
- Can be prepared the night before and popped in the oven a half hour before you want to serve them.
- You can also make them a short while ahead of time and keep them warm in a crock pot. Just pour any juices on the baking pan into the crock pot and add either a little maple syrup or a little more browm sugar. Cover the crock pot and turn to warm or low.
- To increase the spice level, double the amount of cayenne pepper.

These are the best on game day!!!
These were awesome but halfway through I would switch out the foil and flip them over
This was the full-on sleeper hit of my Christmas appetizers, and Iโm making em again today for Super Bowl.
In a nutshell, these things are just flat out delicious. (!)
Take her advice and use thin cut bacon – enjoy!
I’ve made this 4 times to take to parties. Everyone loves them. Last time I used SWERVE brown sugar. It has much lower carbs, and didn’t change the taste at all. This is definitely a keeper.
Are super!
