Pepper Jelly Margaritas are a southern-style Margarita made with green pepper jelly- one of my favorite condiments. The sweet and tangy pepper jelly turns it into a sweet heat treat.
When it comes to a homemade cocktail, you really can’t go wrong with a Margarita.
With its green color, Pepper Jelly Margaritas are the perfect margarita for Christmas.
The recipe, which is from the November 2012 issue of Southern Living Magazine, is an easy mixture of tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur (I use Triple Sec or Cointreau), powdered sugar, and green pepper jelly.
The only hard part is squeezing all the limes.
And I don’t know what it is, but lately every time I make Margaritas, I forget to salt the rims. I’m going to remember next time, I promise.
For Pepper Jelly, I like to use Braswell’s Jelly Green Pepper. You can spread the leftover pepper jelly on a block of cream cheese for an easy appetizer or snack.
