Nutella Gooey Butter Cake is made with a Devil’s Food Cake mix topped with a gooey cream cheese layer flavored with lots of Nutella. It’s wonderfully dense and chocolatey. Topped with whipped cream it makes a fantastic potluck dessert.
Using a box of cake mix makes this recipe super easy and convenient to make.
To make Nutella Gooey Butter Cake, use an electric mixer to beat a box of Devil’s Food Cake mix, an egg, and a stick of melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.
Next make the filling by beating a block of cream cheese together with 1 cup of Nutella. Beat in 3 eggs, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a stick of melted butter.
Next mix in a 16-ounce box of powdered sugar. Spread this mixture on top of the cake batter crust and bake 40 to 50 minutes. The cake should still be gooey in the middle.
This Nutella Gooey Butter Cake is incredibly decadent with lots of Nutella flavor. One of my favorite desserts ever. I like to serve it warm, but it is also good cold.
