Crock Pot Tres Leches Bread Pudding is just the dessert for Cinco de Mayo. It’s so moist and rich and a vanilla sauce drizzled on top gives it extra sweetness.

Slow Cooker Tres Leches Bread Pudding

Crock Pot Tres Leches Bread Pudding only needs 4 hours on LOW to cook in the slow cooker. This is a warm and indulgent dessert for when you don’t want to turn the oven on. It tastes even better served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Tres leches Cake is one of my favorite desserts. Since it is such a moist dessert, it lends itself perfectly to bread pudding form. Tres leches Bread Pudding is actually easier to make than Tres Leches Cake. Just cut up some French bread and pour a mixture of sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract over it in the crock pot.

It cooks up a little crispy around the edges. Such an easy dessert to throw together for a crowd.

Ingredients

Vanilla Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Spray the inside of a 6-quart crock pot with cooking spray.
  • Add the bread cubes to the crock pot.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together all remaining bread pudding ingredients. Pour over bread cubes. Push down on bread with a wooden spoon so the bread on top soaks up the liquid.
  • Cover crock pot and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
  • Make sauce. Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • Serve bread pudding warm with sauce.
