The Bang Bang sauce is a creamy and delicious mixture of mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha sauce, lime juice, and garlic.

I like to use Angel hair pasta with this. It cooks up quickly and the skinny starnds get coated in lots of sauce. You could use spaghetti if you wish to.

Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta can easily be made in the time it takes to boil the water for the pasta and cook the pasta. It has a really unique flavor for a pasta dish and I think you will find it becomes one of your favorites!

If you want it spicier, just squirt more Sriracha sauce on top when you dish it up.

We made this dish last evening and it was awful. The only thing you could taste was mayonnaise and it was really unpleasant. The shrimp were yummy so we ended up just eating them with some bread and the pasta went straight in the garbage. Please don’t bother even trying to make this dish- it truly is horrible!

  2. I NEVER comment on recipes but I hope to save someone from making this garbage meal. First, as others pointed out, the recipe makes no mention of how to use the paprika and black pepper. It’s only buried in the “blog” post: season the shrimp before frying.

Also the sauce is not bang bang as much as it is just sweet. Too much mayo and not enough heat. All you taste is mayo. Bang bang sauce is supposed to be a little hot. Maybe do 1/4 cup mayo instead and up the sriracha.

I give this 2 shrimp out of a possible 10,000 shrimp net catch.

  3. mayonnaise should never ever go with shrimp. i tried this and almost threw up… i’ll make it without the mayo next time.

Spicy, sweet, satisfying. Followed the recipe adding the pepper and paprika to the sauce. Serves way more than four. I served five and have leftovers for two additional meals. Next time, I will increase the sauce, as the noodles do soak up most of the sauce.

  5. I coat the shrimp with the paprika and pepper before cooking them. I saw it on another recipe for the BBS.

  6. The directions never say to season the shrimp with the paprika and pepper. It says it in the body of the article but not in the recipe.

      1. Maybe they don’t cook often! I am new to cooking and follow recipes so I hopefully don’t screw anything up. I didn’t know what to do with the paprika either. Thanks for being such a crusader on the interwebs. We all appreciate your diligence in shaming the noobs.
