With this simple Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta Sauce, you can have a delicious meal on the table in just a matter of minutes. It involves adding a few ingredients to your favorite spaghetti sauce to turn it into creamy, spicy heaven. Toss it in with some angel hair pasta which I love because it cooks up so fast.

Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta

There’s something about pasta sauces with cream that I can’t resist. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Penne alla Vodka? Yes please!

Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta

Tonight we are going to Mama Ricotta’s in Charlotte as an early birthday celebration for me. I always get the Penne alla Vodka with Sausage. Every time. It’s so comforting, with plenty of spice. If I’m being a good girl, I bring half of it home for lunch the next day.

Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta

When I want a creamy pasta at home, this Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta can’t be beat. It couldn’t be easier. Cook some diced onion and garlic in a little oil until sauce, add some cream, basil, and a jar of your favorite pasta sauce. Since I like some spice I add some red pepper flakes but you could leave them out. Add 1/4 teaspoon for a little spice and 1/2 teaspoon for a lot of heat. Let simmer until all the flavors come together. Toss it with some cooked pasta and you’re ready to eat.

This was amazing. Doubled the amount of chilli flakes, but other than that perfect. made it with a jar of costco garlic, olive oil, and basil tomato sauce.

This is delicious and a saver on busy weeknights. I use peeled plum tomatoes instead of jar sauce, a lot more salt, basil, oregano, a little cube of rock sugar (to counterbalance the acidity from the tomatoes), and a lot more red chili flakes! My hubby loves it too. Thanks!

My husband loves this recipe! I add a can of diced tomatoes to make it a little more chunky and crab meat. So good and so quick and easy.

I made this for dinner tonight and added ground beef and i didn’t have cream on hand but i did have sour cream. So i used that.

Instead of heavy cream could I use half and half?

  7. Sonna Moyer says:

Like the previous poster, my husband isn’t a big fan of spaghetti but he loved this. I had to use the minimum amount of pepper flakes because I’m the spicy lover between the both of us but I did add garlic smoked sausage and sautรฉed them with the onion and oil first. And used Prego’s roasted garlic and herb sauce which was already in my cabinet. Horrible for my calorie counting diet but an amazing comfort food. With it, I made a basic garlic bread where I spooned melted butter, cayenne pepper, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning on bread and broiled it on high by eye. It was perfect together! Thank you for this spiced up recipe!
