Bourbon Amaretto Cocktail is a refreshing bourbon cocktail with the flavor of almond and cherry. Only 4 ingredients needed!
This is an easy cocktail for bourbon lovers and for those who aren’t sure about bourbon, this cocktail will make you a fan.
A little maraschino cherry juice and some Amaretto give this cocktail plenty of sweet flavor. The almond and cherry flavors really complement the bourbon.
There are a lot of great bourbons out there, but I like to use Makers Mark or Four Roses.
Bourbon Amaretto Cocktail is a cocktail you’ll enjoy year round but it’s especially refreshing for summer. It’s an easy, fuss-free cocktail that’s perfect for serving at a backyard bbq.
To make them, mix bourbon, amaretto, and cherry juice together in a pitcher. You can easily double or triple the recipe to serve a crowd.
Next, fill 2 glasses with ice. Pour enough bourbon mixture into each glass to fill it halfway then add Sprite to fill the glass. Garnish with an orange slice and some cherries.

Bourbon Amaretto Cocktail
Ingredients
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 2 ounces Amaretto
- 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice
- 1 can Sprite or 7-Up
- Maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
- Stir together bourbon, Amaretto, and cherry juice.
- Fill 2 glasses with ice.
- Divide the bourbon mixture evenly between the 2 glasses.
- Top each glass off with Sprite.
- Garnish with cherries and an orange slice if desired.
I used Bulleit Bourbon 10, Disaronno, Amarena cocktail cherries, and zero sugar 7-up! Amazing!

I liked it. It hit all the marks and had a boozy nose. I used Maraschino liquor.
indeed, with ginger beer and marachino liqueur it is dynamite!!! (great tip – what would you call it then 😉 )
Substitute sour cherry liqueur for the cherry juice and ginger beer for the Sprite and you have a dynamite cocktail!
