With this simple Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta Sauce, you can have a delicious meal on the table in just a matter of minutes. It involves adding a few ingredients to your favorite spaghetti sauce to turn it into creamy, spicy heaven. Toss it in with some angel hair pasta which I love because it cooks up so fast.

Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta

There’s something about pasta sauces with cream that I can’t resist. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Penne alla Vodka? Yes please!

Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta

Tonight we are going to Mama Ricotta’s in Charlotte as an early birthday celebration for me. I always get the Penne alla Vodka with Sausage. Every time. It’s so comforting, with plenty of spice. If I’m being a good girl, I bring half of it home for lunch the next day.

Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta

When I want a creamy pasta at home, this Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta can’t be beat. It couldn’t be easier. Cook some diced onion and garlic in a little oil until sauce, add some cream, basil, and a jar of your favorite pasta sauce. Since I like some spice I add some red pepper flakes but you could leave them out. Add 1/4 teaspoon for a little spice and 1/2 teaspoon for a lot of heat. Let simmer until all the flavors come together. Toss it with some cooked pasta and you’re ready to eat.

You gave calories per serving but did not state how much a serving is

Tasted excellent and an ideal meal for beginners in cooking and is great for experimenting with new spices and flavors. I substituted the spaghetti sauce for tomato soup, tomato paste, and added a few spices. I also substituted the cream for 1 cup of milk and it still turned out AMAZING. Overall a great recipe!

Made a batch of 14 portions of this tonight and it’s absolutely delicious and so easy! Instead of dairy cream I put in vegan single cream and vegan soft cheese. I used a mix of vegan meatballs and some lean pork sausages, sliced-for extra muscle building protein. I used about 5 jars of pasta sauce. I put 8 portions in the fridge and 6 in the freezer. With spaghetti ready in each tub. I cook red onions for a long time to really add depth of flavour, and I’m generous with the basil, garlic, sugar, and chilli flakes. Thanks for recipe!!

My family loves this recipe! Iโ€™ve made it many times but I add 1 lb ground beef and 1 lb ground sweet Italian sausage. I also double the recipe with 2 jars of sauce to feed my family of 6. A weekly staple.
