Easy Apple Dumplings
Easy Apple Dumplings are a cinch to make with refrigerated biscuit dough and are best when served warm with lots of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

Granny Smith apples

lemon

cup
sugar, divided
1/2
cup (1 stick)
butter
1/2
teaspoon
vanilla extract

(8-count) tube
refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

tablespoon
cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Peel, core and slice each apple into 5 rings.
Squeeze the lemon into a bowl, add water and submerge the apples to prevent them from turning brown.
Separate each biscuit into 2 layers
In a medium saucepan, bring 3/4 cup sugar, 1 cup water, butter, and vanilla to a boil. Keep warm.
Wrap a biscuit around each slice of apple, stretching it so that it will overlap on the opposite side. Press edges to seal.
Place seam side down in a 9x13-inch pan making 5 rows with 3 in each row. (You will have 1 biscuit piece leftover.)
Pour butter mixture on top. (there will be alot of liquid.)
Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
Bake 35 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
