Bourbon Apple Pork Chops- savory pork chops are topped with bacon and apples flavored with bourbon. Makes a great fall or winter dinner.

Ingredients
4slicesbacon,chopped
3bone-in center-cut pork chops
2teaspoonsMesquite or BBQ seasoning
2tablespoonsbutter
1/2cupdiced onion
1large or 2 mediumGala apples, cut into a 1/2-inch dice
1 to 2tablespoonsbourbon
1/2cupchicken broth
1/4cupheavy cream
Instructions
Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Drain off all but 1 tablespoon of bacon grease.
Blot pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides of pork chops with mesquite or bbq seasoning, salt and pepper.Note: Check to see how much salt your seasoning has in it. If salt is the first ingredient, you won't need to use much additional salt.
Heat the skillet with the bacon grease over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook for 4 to 6 minutes per side.Remove pork chops and set aside.
Add butter to the skillet. When melted, add onion and apples.Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add bourbon, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Simmer until thickened.Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Spoon apple mixture over pork chops and top with bacon.
