Buttery Peas and Mushrooms is a quick and easy side dish with lots of flavor. Can be made start to finish in just 15 minutes.

  • 2 tablespoons butter, I use salted
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 medium sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 (13-ounce) bag frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


  • Melt butter over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add mushrooms and onion and cook until the mushrooms are golden.
  • Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer.
    Turn heat down. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Uncover, turn heat up and cook 2 more minutes.
