Kentucky Hot Brown Crescent Casserole- a creamy, rich casserole with the buttery flavor of crescent rolls. Lots of bacon makes this casserole a real winner.
Melt butter in a medium pot. Add flour and cook and stir for 1 minute.Whisk in milk. Add pepper and nutmeg. Bring to a simmer and simmer for about 1 minute.Remove from heat and stir in Gruyere.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
Place sliced turkey on the wide end of each crescent triangle and top with a bacon slice and a small mound of cheddar cheese.
Roll each crescent up and place in prepared baking dish.Pour cheese sauce on top.
Sprinkle with tomatoes and green onion.Bake for 20 to 26 minutes. Cover with foil the last few minutes if getting too brown before crescent dough is fully cooked.
