salted butter,
softened

cup
packed light brown sugar

granulated sugar

egg

all-purpose flour
1/2
teaspoon
baking soda
1/2
teaspoon
apple pie spice
3/4

apple butter
1/2
cup
raisins or craisins
1/2
cup
chopped walnuts
Glaze
1
cup
powdered sugar
1/4
teaspoon
vanilla extract
2
tablespoons
milk or half-and-half
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
With an electric mixer, beat butter until creamy.
Add brown sugar and granulated sugar and beat until well combined.
Scrape down sides of bowl. Add egg and beat until mixed in.
Combine flour, baking soda, and apple pie spice.
With mixer on low, beat in half the flour mixture, then the apple butter and then remaining flour mixture.
Stir in raisins or craisins and walnuts.
Transfer batter to prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 20 to 24 minutes.
Let cool.
Whisk together glaze ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
Drizzle glaze on cooled apple bars.
