Ingredients
6slicesbacon,cooked and crumbled (save the bacon grease)
2cupsall-purpose flour
1/4cuppacked brown sugar
2 1/2teaspoonsbaking powder
1/2teaspoonkosher salt
7tablespoonscold, unsalted butter,cubed
3/4cupwhole buttermilk (cold)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add butter cubes and cut them in with a pastry blender or use your hands.Stir in buttermilk until just combined. Stir in bacon.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it down some and then fold it in half in one direction and then fold it in half again in the opposite direction so that you have folded in in fourths.Repeat 2 times, pressing it until it is 3/4-inch thickness.
Use a 2 1/2 to 3-inch biscuit cutter to cut biscuits. Make and up and down motion with no twisting. Collect scraps to cut another biscuit or 2. You should get 6 to 8 biscuits.
Place biscuits in a 12-inch cast iron pan. Or you can use a baking sheet.
Mix together the bacon grease and brown sugar. If bacon grease is solid, microwave it first. Brush mixture on top of the biscuits. Bake for 16 to 18 minutes.
