Country Ranch Green Beans and Potatoes

  • 2 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 medium red potatoes, cut into a 1/2-inch dice
  • 1 small sweet onion, diced
  • 1 (14-ounce) can green beans, drained
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Ranch seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, optional


  1. Heat bacon grease and butter over medium-high heat in a large pan.

  2. Add potatoes and cook for 7 minutes, flipping them over halfway through.

  3. Add onion and cook 3 to 5 more minutes, until potatoes are soft.

  4. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Let everything warm through and then remove from heat and serve.

Recipe Notes

You can leave out the bacon grease and use 4 tablespoons butter if desired.
