Spicy Tomato Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (28-ounce) can Tuttorosso Peeled Plum Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper


  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
  • Use scissors or a knife to chop the tomatoes while they are in the can. Add to saucepan.
  • Add sugar, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Simmer 15 minutes.
