Sweet tea infused with fresh mint is combined with bourbon and lemon and served over ice for a cool and refreshing cocktail.

If you like a Mint Julep, but it can be a bit much for you, a Sweet Tea Mint Julep is the answer. It packs a little less punch as far as the alcohol, but still has plenty of bourbon and mint flavor.

Plus, who can resist a glass of cold sweet tea?

Now, you’re probably going to want to make these Sweet Tea Mint Juleps all summer long, not just for Derby Day. You’re going to need a supply of fresh mint and it is super easy to grow.

Just one plant will yield enough for a summer full of Sweet Tea Mint Juleps. You can buy a starter plant at your local garden center or Home Depot and plant it in a pot or in the ground.

If you plant it in the ground, be prepared. Mint is very prolific. It will attempt to take over a good portion of your yard and you’ll have to invite the whole town over for Mint Juleps to even make a dent in it.

Lemon is just wonderful. My husband loved mixing drinks and he is in love with lemon. I’ll suggest to him to plant lemon in our garden so we can save money. haha, Anyways, since summer is approaching so fast, drinks like this will be a big help for refreshment. I’ll ask my husband to prepare it after he prepare cocktails hong kong, Joe’s elixir =)

That cocktail looks so refreshing! Will have to try on one of the hot summer days coming up! I never end up using most of the mint that I plant, so this will help with that! 🙂
