They are a great way to keep your kids busy in the kitchen. They’ll love using a melon baller to make balls of watermelon and threading the ingredients on the skewers will keep them entertained while you get other things done.

These fruit kabobs are perfectly delicious as is, but you can amp up the flavor by adding some fresh mint, a sprinkle or salt, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. They are a cool and refreshing snack to munch on that will still leave you with plenty of room for burgers and pie later on.

Ingredients

  • 1 small seedless watermelon
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1 (12-ounce) container mozzarella balls, drained
  • skewers
  • salt, mint, balsamic dressing, optional

Instructions

  • Using a melon baller, scoop balls of watermelon.
  • Thread watermelon, blueberries, and mozzarella balls on skewers.
  • Sprinkle with chopped mint, salt, and balsamic dressing if desired.

      They may be pretty but I don’t think they taste nearly as good as your 4th of July kabobs with vanilla pudding dip 🙂
