Slow Cooker Bourbon BBQ Baked Beans

No need to heat up the kitchen in any way, shape, or form for your summertime BBQ. With this Slow Cooker Bourbon BBQ Baked Beans recipe, you can let your beans simmer away on the low heat setting in your crockpot all morning. And by afternoon they will turn into a delicious sweet and tangy crockpot full of delicious beans to go with whatever you cook on the grill.

Slow Cooker Bourbon BBQ Baked BeansThese beans have all of the requisite baked bean flavors: brown sugar, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion, and bacon. A splash of bourbon kicks the flavor up even more. If you like your beans thick, at the end of cooking time remove the lid, turn your crockpot to high and let them cook for about 20 minutes. If you feel like your crockpot doesn’t get hot enough on High, put them in a 350° oven for 20 minutes or so.

You can use any mixture of beans- kidney beans, pinto, black beans or even garbanzo beans.

I looooove baked beans. They are one of those treats that I rarely eat unless I’m at a bbq, but dang girl–I want to get into the kitchen and whip up a batch right this second!

I hardly ever eat baked beans unless I’m at a bbq either, but every now and then I get a hankering to make some!

Since I missed this for Memorial Day, I will make it for Father’s Day. My Dad would love this. Me too!

Great Father’s Day recipe! Can you believe Father’s Day is almost here? This year is flying by!

Here in the UK they’re obsessed with their canned Heinz beans for breakfast… that’s just one British custom that I can’t find myself ever conforming to. This looks 100% more appetising and representative of what baked beans should be! I find maple syrup to be an amazing addition, too :)

Yes, those canned beans they like in the UK don’t seem to have much flavor. Maple syrup would be amazing! I actually like it more than molasses.
